    System Requirements

CCTVplanner runs entirely in your web browser. No software installation required.

    • Current version of Chrome, Edge or Firefox, or Safari 16.4 or newer
    • Internet connection for saving and syncing projects
    • Screen resolution of 1280x720 or higher recommended
    • PDF floor plans or image files (PNG, JPG) for upload

    Hardware

2D design, calculators and PDF export

    Minimum

4 GB of RAM. No dedicated graphics card needed.

    Recommended

8 GB of RAM. The app itself uses up to about 1 GB.

3D view and camera view (POV)

    Minimum

8 GB of RAM and integrated graphics (for example Intel UHD or Iris Xe, or AMD Radeon) with hardware acceleration turned on in the browser. At its lowest quality the 3D view uses about 2 GB.

    Recommended

16 GB of RAM and a dedicated graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce or RTX, AMD Radeon RX, Intel Arc) or an Apple M1 chip or newer. At full quality on a high-resolution screen the 3D view uses up to about 4.5 GB.

    • The 3D view sets its quality for your computer by itself. On weaker graphics it starts with the sun off, skips the heaviest effects and lowers the resolution when the picture starts to stutter.
    • Opening a site in 3D for the first time downloads satellite imagery, terrain and buildings: about 16 MB for our demo project, more for large sites. On a slow connection the scene fills in gradually.
    • The camera view (POV) draws a second 3D scene next to the main one. On a weaker computer, close it when you do not need it.
    • If you see “3D view failed to load”, turn on hardware acceleration in your browser settings, update the browser and the graphics driver, then open the 3D view again. Your project is safe and the 2D view keeps working.
